Jesus said; “Let the children come to me.”

Matthew 19: 14

At Trinity, we have reimagined children’s faith formation by inviting children more fully into worship alongside their families. Rather than a traditional weekly Sunday School model, children participate directly in the life of the church. Children are regularly invited to help collect the offering, process, carry forward the gifts, carry the Gospel book, assist at the altar, and ring the Sanctus bells. Through these experiences, many discovered a deeper sense of belonging within the worshiping community. To encourage continued participation, two of our oldest children now serve regularly as acolytes.

For our youngest members, Trinity maintains a welcoming nursery staffed by caring childcare workers who meet Safe Church standards. Children are brought into the sanctuary during worship to receive Holy Communion with their families, then return to the nursery afterward. Children are also welcome at all of Trinity’s events.

Several times each year, we also gather for intergenerational formation events on Saturday mornings. These gatherings are designed to foster learning and meaningful conversations between parents and children as they explore the seasons and traditions of the Church. Each event includes a brief lesson, a hands-on activity or craft, and ideas families can continue exploring together at home. Childcare is also provided so parents may enjoy time for fellowship and renewal or a morning out.

For the safety and well-being of all children, Trinity remains fully committed to Safe Church policies and practices.
