July Adult Formation

July 12 – Julia DeLancey

This Adult Formation discussion will focus on the idea of disability.  It will look at some various ways we can think about the concept of “disability” and how those affect how we interact with and care for one another.  Some additional resources for further exploration will also be made available.

July 19 – Joni Perry

Joni will lead a discussion about mental health – how we can support those around in who are struggling with mental health issues as well as how we can get them the kind of help that might be necessary.

July 26 – Carrol Davenport

We will talk about how we can support and be present with people who are seriously or terminally ill as well as how we support people in grief.

Trinity Tuesdays at Thousand Hills Park:  A donor has reserved Shelter #2 (to the west of the Point Shelter) on Tuesdays, June 20 and 27, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Trinity’s use. Look for the red and white checked table coverings. Invite a friend for lunch, take children to the park, drive someone out to the Lake who hasn’t been out for a while – the possibilities are endless. Nothing fancy, just a reserved space to sit and watch the water if you want.

Food for Kids:   Trinity’s week will be July 10-14. Please sign up in the undercroft for the day when you would like to volunteer at either Brashear or Jaycee Park. Questions? Ask Dana or Diane.

Little Food Pantry:  Little Free Food Pantry is being used by lots of people. One young man approached a member this past week and offered $20 for the food he had used from the Pantry and expressed his gratitude. The money was put to good use to buy more items for the Pantry. A family celebrated the birthday of their two-year-old by donating hygiene products for the Pantry plus a $20 donation. There are all kinds of good stories from this project – share one if you know one!

Food Depot:

Our Food Depot items for May:  Boxed sides:  Macaroni and Cheese, Rice-a-Roni, etc.

Maria’s Ordination:  You are invited…to the ordination to the priesthood of Rev. Dr. Maria Evans at 6 p.m. on June 29 at Christ Church Cathedral, St. Louis.  The invitation is posted on the bulletin board in the undercroft. Also join us for Maria’s celebration of the Eucharist on Sunday, July 2. Hope to see you there!
