Reclaiming Jesus:  Ecumenical Adult Formation—Reclaiming Jesus—begins on 6 September, at 6 p.m., at Take Root Cafe.  We will be joined by the Methodists and Presbyterians.

Outreach:  Cereal is on sale at many stores in our area.  Please consider picking up some for use in the Little Free Food Pantry, the basket at the back of the church for Christian Community Food Depot, and other charitable uses.

Community Roots Festival (Aug. 25):  Thanks to all who helped with the Trinity booth at the second annual Community Roots Festival last Saturday. It was amazingly hot – but we distributed materials to well over 250 people, including the children who were excited to have musical instruments they could make (bell shakers, bean shakers, tongue depressor harmonicas, and rain sticks).  Special thanks to Krista and Tim Baker, Amy Fallon, Laura Gruber Harden, Diane Johnson, Matthew Koch, Cody Pease, Sam Pey, Julie Seidler, and “friends of Trinity” who helped with setting up the booth.

Food Depot:  Our Food Depot items for September – Sauces and Condiments

Little Free Food Pantry:  You may have noticed that the LFFP is offline.  The door blew off its hinges and is being repaired.  Please feel free to put items that won’t be damaged by rain and can’t blow away in the wind in the wire basket below the main cupboard or put items in the cupboard on the inside of the church at the Harrison Street entrance.  LFFP should be back in business soon!

Save the Dates:  October 7 (Liturgy at the Lake and Pet Blessing); October 28 (Bishop George Wayne Smith annual visit to Trinity)

Lectionary Readings:

Deuteronomy 4:1-2, 6-9
Psalm 15
James 1:17-27
Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23
