You do not need an appointment for any of these times, just drop by. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call or text her at 815-901-3614.

Stewardship Campaign:  many thanks to those who turned in their 2018 pledge cards this past Sunday.  You’ve helped us get a start on the 2018 budget.  If you haven’t turned in your pledge card yet, please turn it in this Sunday (November 12) or mail to:  Treasurer, Trinity Episcopal Church, P. O. Box 652, Kirksville MO 63501.  Need a pledge card?  Contact Diane Johnson or pick one up from the tables in the undercroft.  Your  Bishop’s Committee must finalize a 2018 budget in the next few weeks.  Thanks for your help!

Outreach:  Our November outreach collection will occur on November 19.   Cash collected that day and checks made out to Trinity with VDF in the memo line will be used to replenish the Vicar’s Discretionary Fund, that is, the money that Amy has available to use to help people in temporary and urgent need over the winter months – whether that need is lodging, gas, keeping utilities on at home, or any other need.  Please give generously.

Memorial Service for Al Srnka:  is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, at Trinity.  If you are able to help that day, please contact Diane Johnson.

Community Thanksgiving Service:  Sunday November 19 at 6 pm at Church of God Holiness Church, 1601 N. Elson St, Kirksville. This is a great chance to pray for our community and to give thanks for our blessings. A collection will be taken up to assist the Community Mission (formerly Helping Hands Mission.)

Stump the Vicar Sunday:  As part of worship on Sunday November 19, you will have the chance to ask any question you have about the Episcopal Church, the Bible, Christianity, religion, spirituality. As you come in to church you will receive some paper and a pen to write down your questions. Durng the usua; sermon time, Amy wil lcollect your questions and try to answer them. Put your thinking caps on and see if you can stump the Vicar!

Holiday Shopping Helps Trinity:  If you do a lot of your holiday shopping on Amazon, please enroll in the Amazon Smile charity program. Trinity will receive .005% of almost every dollar you spend. It may not seem like much, but if we all do it, it can really add up. Go to www.smile.amazon.com to sign up, choose Trinity as your charity (there are a lot of Trinity churches in the pull down menu, so keep going until you find us) and you are all set.  All your other Amazon benefits (Prime membership, student membership, etc) wil lstay the same. You lose nothing and Trinity gains a lot.

Maintenance Notes:  Some work on the vicarage will take place in November.  Rob Clement, our contractor, is hoping to start on outside windowsills next week.  Kenny Jackson is waiting for a light fixture for the kitchen hallway to complete the electrical work.  We hope to have that installed next week.

Little Food Pantry:  We have been given a large box of taco seasoning mixes for the Little Free Food Pantry.  Do you have a simple, tasty recipe that uses (or could use) such a mix?  We would like to include your recipe (and possibly some other ingredients) in “kits” for LFFP users.  See Diane if you are willing to share a recipe!

Food Depot:  Our Food Depot items for November: Peanut Butter & Jelly/Thanksgiving freewill choices—check sale items!

Lectionary Readings:

Amos 5:18-24
Psalm 70
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Matthew 25:1-13
