Annual Meeting and Potluck:  This is it!  Our annual potluck and meeting will be held this Sunday after church.  We overlap a bit with eating and meeting, but everything is usually finished around 1 p.m.  Gabi Lohman has agreed to stay in the nursery for the duration and we will have some activities for restless children.  Please call Diane Johnson (349-9137) if you have questions or concerns.  Bishop’s Committee meets briefly after the annual meeting to elect officers.  Click here for a copy of the 2018 Annual Report.

Noonday Prayer at Twin Pines: has been cancelled for the last three weeks because of illness concerns at Twin Pines.  We hope to start up again this coming Tuesday, January 30, at 1:30 p.m.  The service includes a brief study of the scripture for the coming Sunday (February 4 in this case).  We meet in the small dining room at the east end of the large dining room on the main floor.

Bible Study:  Bible Study – a 5 week study on the Gospel of Mark begins Monday February 5 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm here at Trinity Church. Come when you are able, no need to commit to the whole series if your schedule does not permit. You can bring your own bible if you life or use one from the church.

Celebration of Ministry (with Bishop George Wayne Smith): Out of an abundance of caution, Rev. Amy and Bishop Smith have agreed to move the Celebration of Ministry (formerly scheduled for February 8 at 7 p.m.) to a later date because of Amy’s illness.  As soon as we have another date on the Bishop’s calendar, we will let you know.

Future Bishop’s Committee Meetings:  Bishop’s Committee regular meeting to be held Sunday, February 11 after coffee hour.  Please note that the March meeting has been moved from March 11 to March 4.  Meetings are open to all.

Mardi Gras Dinner:  Mardi Gras Dinner in the undercroft on Tuesday, February 13.  Invite friends and family!

Women’s Ecumenical Lenten Retreat:  Saturday February 17 9 am – 3 pm at the Truman Newman Center, 709 S. Davis Rd in Kirksville. This opportunity is being offered to us by our friends at Mary Immaculate Parish and will be a great opportunity to both deepen our Lenten devotion and worship with new friends. Suggested donation of $20 at the door. Please see Amy for more details and to register. If the suggested donation is a challenge for you, there is some financial assistance available.

Food Depot:  Our Food Depot items for January – Canned Soup (no creamed soup)

Little Free Food Pantry: A Trinity member collected nonperishable food at her office during the holidays.  The inside  cupboard is full and then some.  If you are at church and notice that the LFFP outside cupboard is looking bare, please take from the inside cupboard and fill the outside one!

The deadline for next week’s WHAT is Noon, Thursday, February 1.  Please send items to BOTH Kevin Minch at kevin.minch@gmail.com and Natalie Alexander at faymie@gmail.com so that any relevant updates may also be included in the bulletin insert. Please be mindful of the deadline when possible.  Thanks!
