Cram the Chrysler:  Volunteers at the Christian Community Food Depot expressed deepest thanks for our “food-raising” efforts last Saturday at HyVee. They served over 100 families in the past two weeks.  Our efforts in wind, rain (and later, gentle sunshine) procured 915 pounds of food (930 items) valued at $1,785.  We also collected over $200 in cash donations for them.  Thanks to all who helped, including Amy, Cody, Sam, Ian, Wynne, Karen Henness, Matthew, Cybil, Joanne, Krista, Tim, Dennis, Diane, the Ryan family (Pam, Phil, and Donnie), Julie, Sally, and Natalie.

Habitat for Humanity:  The RV team will arrive for the Kirksville Habitat build on April 29 and stay through May 13.  We will be responsible for providing morning devotion and lunch for one day during their stay (date not yet known) in cooperation with other churches.  They will be staying at the NEMO fairgrounds in their RVs.

Food 4 Kids:  It doesn’t feel like it yet, but summer is not far away and with it, our annual commitment to feeding children in the parks.  If you have served in the past, you will receive an email next week asking about your summer availability.  If you have not participated in the past but would like to participate this year, please get in touch with Diane.
