Prayers2Pass:  Spiritual support for Truman students (faculty and staff as well) at the end of the semester. We will have a table on the Quad on May 2 from 11 am – 1 pm to hand out snacks and listen to students’ spiritual needs for their upcoming exams. See Amy for more details and to volunteer.

Renewal of Ministry Celebration with Bishop Smith:  Thursday, May 3, includes three events:

  • Simple informal supper with campus folks and parishioners, 5:30 p.m.  Please RSVP to Diane Johnson so that we can plan ahead.

  • Reception, approx.. 8:30 p.m.  Cookies and tea for those who would like an opportunity to chat with visitors and friends. No RSVP needed.
Habitat for Humanity:  The RV team will arrive for the Kirksville Habitat build on April 29 and stay through May 13.  We will be responsible for providing morning devotion and lunch for one day during their stay (date not yet known) in cooperation with other churches.  They will be staying at the NEMO fairgrounds in their RVs.

Food 4 Kids:  It doesn’t feel like it yet, but summer is not far away and with it, our annual commitment to feeding children in the parks.  If you have served in the past, you will receive an email next week asking about your summer availability.  If you have not participated in the past but would like to participate this year, please get in touch with Diane.

Dismantling Racism:  The scheduled event has been postponed.  Watch this space for updates.

Little Food Pantry Inspiration:  Little Free Food Pantry. Last year, Fr. Marshall Crossnoe of St. Alban’s in Fulton and their senior warden came to look at our Little Free Food Pantry after hearing about it at West Convocation. So it is a direct descendant of Trinity’s LFFP.  Here’s a photo of theirs!

Food Depot:  Our Food Depot items for April – Food Stretchers: pasta; noodles, rice, beans.

Lectionary Readings:

The deadline for next week’s WHAT is Noon, Thursday, May 3.  Please send items to BOTH Kevin Minch at kevin.minch@gmail.com and Natalie Alexander at faymie@gmail.com so that any relevant updates may also be included in the bulletin insert. Please be mindful of the deadline when possible.  Thanks!
