Amy’s Office Hours:  Amy’s new office hours will change with the new academic year at Truman.  We’ll post these soon.  In the meantime you may also contact the Rev. Amy by email (amy.fallon08@gmail.com) or phone (815-901-3614).

Outreach MOMOM (Missouri Mission of Mercy):  Over 1200 patients were treated by professional dentists free of charge at Pershing Arena on August on August 3 and 4, including about 130 children.  Thank you to those who volunteered, especially those from our own church family!

Free concert: Richard McKinney, piano stylist, offers “Songs My Heart Sings” at First Christian Church, 7 p.m, Saturday, August 11. Donations can be made to the Adair County Public Library.

Bria’s Baptism: Please plan to come and stay for a light lunch with Bria’s family as we celebrate her baptism!  If you’d like to bring food to share, please contact Diane.

Outreach:  Cereal is on sale at many stores in our area.  Please consider picking up some for use in the Little Free Food Pantry, the basket at the back of the church for Christian Community Food Depot, and other charitable uses.

August 19 Plate Offering:  will be for Episcopal Migration Ministries.  During the current migration crisis, EMM is partnering with the Refugee Services of Texas/Austin (Diocese of Austin) and Refugee Focus (Diocese of Arizona) as well as others.  Please be generous.  Of the millions of displaced and refugee people in the world, a staggering 11.25 million are children.  More information is available at https://episcopalmigrationministries.org/.

Kickoff Weekend is Coming Up: not football, but campus and outreach ministries!  On Friday, Aug. 24, we will gather at the courthouse to share a potluck picnic at 6 p.m. prior to enjoying the Deadwood Summer on the Square concert at 7 p.m.  Bring a friend (and a chair).  On Saturday, Aug. 25, we will have a booth at the second annual Community Roots Festival on the square.  And on Sunday, Aug. 26, we’ll have a special service and coffee hour to commission our musicians and welcome our students, faculty, and staff.

Community Roots Festival:  Trinity will have a non-profit informational booth at this festival on August 25.  Our focus will be music – making simple musical instruments, sharing copies of current songs we have permission to share, etc.  If you’d like to help staff the booth, contact Diane Johnson or Amy Fallon.

Second Saturdays Yoga:  Second Saturday Yoga is on vacation until September.

Food Depot:  Our Food Depot items for August – Cereal

Garden overflowing?  Consider bringing extra produce to the Little Free Food Pantry!  The wire basket underneath the pantry is perfect for cucumbers, tomatoes, and other good stuff.  And it’s usually gone within a few hours.
