The Episcopal Public Policy Network is a grassroots network of Episcopalians across the country dedicated to carrying out the Baptismal Covenant call to “strive for justice and peace” through the active ministry of public policy advocacy. The EPPN is a part of The Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations located in Washington, DC. The actions, programs, and ministry of the Office of Government Relations are based entirely on policies approved by the Church meeting in General Convention or by the Executive Council. November 20 Plate Offering Results: The plate offering on November 20 collected $170 for Helping Hands Mission. Thank you for your support of this local mission.
Adult Formation: We will continue studying John Dominic Crossan’s book How to Read the Bible and Still be a Christian. You can buy the book in whichever format you prefer here. It is available new, used, and on Kindle. We will be doing Chapters 3 and 4 this week. Please join us for what should be a lively discussion!
Archdeacon Mark Sluss Visit: Now that we are going to have a deacon among us for 6 months there will likely be questions about what a deacon does and how that role differs from what a priest does. We have invited The Venerable Mark Sluss, the diocesan archdeacon, to come for a visit. Mark will be here on December 4th for worship. He will preach and serve as a deacon in the service, and then talk with us at coffee hour about the role of a deacon.
Christmas Gift Tree: Join others in the Trinity family in decorating our traditional Christmas Gift Tree with donations of hats, mittens, scarves, and socks. These items will be taken to the Salvation Army prior to Christmas. We will gather at Twin Pines on Tuesdays after Noonday Prayer and Bible Study to spend time with one another knitting/crocheting/weaving items for the tree. Through Tuesday, December 6, we will work together from 2:30 to 4:00. We will have yarns and instructions available. Please join us. Contact Krista with any questions.
ECM [Episcopal Campus Ministry] ECM is back from break and ready for our final project and meeting of the semester! This Sunday we will meet at 6 PM for our Christmas party – join us if you like holiday music and baking goodies! We will also be putting together play-doh for our outreach project. Our outreach project will be Monday (12/5), Wednesday (12/7), and Friday (12/9) next week from noon – 3 PM each day. Monday and Friday will be in Magruder Hall and Wednesday we’ll be in the Student Union Building, handing out baked goods and play-doh and accepting donations for Victim Support Services.

- December 24th – Christmas Eve service at 7:00 p.m. (PLEASE NOTE TIME IS 7:00 p.m., compared to 8:00 p.m. in previous years!)
- December 25th – Christmas Day service at 10:00 a.m., joint service with 1st Presbyterian
