Intern Housing Needed: Our church is hosting clergy and four interns from the Deaconess Anne program on Saturday night, April 29, and Sunday morning, April 30. Campus ministry groups from United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church will be joining our guests and ECM for a vegetarian supper on Saturday. If you are interested in contributing a dish for the meal, please talk with Diane Johnson.

Easter Brunch:  You are invited to the special coffee hour/Easter dinner after church on April 16.  There will be ham and breakfast casserole and all manner of good things to eat.  Please join us for a late brunch or your Easter dinner.  If you cannot bring a dish, please bring your appetite and your Easter joy!  Invite a friend!

LM_Widget_VLent Madness:  This year, it went down to the wire!  Florence Nightingale won the Golden Halo, and our champion is Julia DeLancey, who picked her to win it all and had 10 correct picks.  Honorable mention goes to Sally West, who also said “I go with the Flo,” but she did not have as many correct picks as Julia.

We’ll present Julia her Golden Halo at Easter brunch after church.  Thanks once again for playing Lent Madness!

Food Depot:

Our Food Depot items for April:  Food stretchers – pasta, noodles, rice, and beans.

Asset Mapping:  We are halfway finished with generating assets for our parish asset map!  Thanks to everyone who has participated so far.  We have completed generating “Physical and Institutional assets,” and “Individual assets.”

We’ll take a week off to celebrate Easter Day, and the following week pick back up with the next category, “Associational assets.”
If you would like to submit assets, but were not at church for the first two sessions, please send your submissions to Maria Evans and we will include them!

Lectionary Readings (Easter Sunday):

NOTE NEW INFORMATION ON SUBMITTING ITEMS BELOW:

The deadline for next week’s WHAT is Noon, Thursday, April 20.  Please send items to BOTH Kevin Minch at kevin.minch@gmail.com and Natalie Alexander at faymie@gmail.com so that any relevant updates may also be included in the bulletin insert. Please be mindful of the deadline when possible.  Thanks!
