Amy’s Office Hours: Monday, 10 am-noon, Trinity; Tuesday, 1:30-3:30, Sweet Espressions; Wednesday, 2-4, Truman SUB; Thursday afternoon: visits. You may also contact the Rev. Amy by email (fallon08@gmail.com) or phone (815-901-3614).

Friends of Trinity:  As many of you know, Trinity mourns the passing of two special friends of Trinity:  Dr. Alanna Preussner (http://www.columbiatribune.com/obituaries/20180124/alanna-s-whittle-preussner ) whose time with us will be remembered in a service on March 24 (1 p.m.) at the United Methodist Church in Kirksville and Lorraine Peissner-Bradshaw (http://www.davisplaylehudsonrimer.com/obituary/lorraine-peissner-bradshaw ) whose life will be celebrated at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on March 17.

Habitat for Humanity:  Last June, the Bishop’s Committee committed our church to a more active role with the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.  In addition to an annual plate collection, we pledged to pray for those involved with Habitat in Kirksville and to assist in finding people who are suited for a Habitat house.  As many of you know, Habitat provides affordable housing (based on no-interest loans and sweat equity) for people who often can’t qualify for a conventional home mortgage, such as people who work minimum-wage jobs.  Habitat will have two homes later this year, one that will be built and one that will be re-habbed.  Please start praying now about people who need these homes and this opportunity.  More about this in coming weeks!

Noonday Prayer at Twin Pines:  on Tuesdays at 1:30 has resumed.  We are glad to be back!  It was a joy to see everyone again.  Please feel free to join us for an hour of service and gospel discussion!  We meet in the small dining room at the east end of the main downstairs dining room.

Second Saturdays Yoga:  11:45 a.m. on February 10.  $5 suggested donation for the Little Free Food Pantry.

Bible Study:  Bible Study – a 5 week study on the Gospel of Mark begins Monday February 5 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm here at Trinity Church. Come when you are able, no need to commit to the whole series if your schedule does not permit. You can bring your own bible if you life or use one from the church.

Celebration of Ministry (with Bishop George Wayne Smith): Out of an abundance of caution, Rev. Amy and Bishop Smith have agreed to move the Celebration of Ministry (formerly scheduled for February 8 at 7 p.m.) to a later date because of Amy’s illness.  As soon as we have another date on the Bishop’s calendar, we will let you know.

Future Bishop’s Committee Meetings:  Bishop’s Committee regular meeting to be held Sunday, February 11 after coffee hour.  Please note that the March meeting has been moved from March 11 to March 4.  Meetings are open to all.

Mardi Gras Dinner:  Mardi Gras Dinner in the undercroft on Tuesday, February 13.  Invite friends and family!

Women’s Ecumenical Lenten Retreat:  Saturday February 17 9 am – 3 pm at the Truman Newman Center, 709 S. Davis Rd in Kirksville. This opportunity is being offered to us by our friends at Mary Immaculate Parish and will be a great opportunity to both deepen our Lenten devotion and worship with new friends. Suggested donation of $20 at the door. Please see Amy for more details and to register. If the suggested donation is a challenge for you, there is some financial assistance available.

Food Depot:  Our Food Depot items for February – peanut butter & jelly and cereal
