Bishop’s Committee: meets on Sunday, May 13, after coffee hour.  Meetings are open. Agenda will be posted near the calendar on the east side of the undercroft.

Bible Study: Bible Study of Acts of the Apostles resumes on Tuesday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m. in the undercroft.  Study of Acts continues on Tuesday evenings through May 22.  Come when you can.

Prayers 2 Pass: was a huge success at Truman on Wednesday, May 2!  Krista, Amy, and Duke (the dog) helped de-stress students – and did you see the list of prayer requests they came up with (distributed at last Sunday’s service)?  Lots of prayers!

Habitat for Humanity:  The Habitat for Humanity house is almost finished!  Take a look – the house is at the south end of North Don Street, just a few blocks east of the Casey’s on Osteopathy.  It was built by a Habitat RV team, teams from the Kirksville Vocational-Technical Center, and the new home owner!  Trinity made a donation toward pouring the foundation and we fed the team on Wednesday, May 2.  Fascinating people from all over the US live in their RVs (at the NEMO fairgrounds here) while volunteering to build for Habitat. One couple has built homes in 37 states!

Celebration of New Ministry Thanks:  Thank you to all who helped with the Celebration of Ministry last Thursday evening with Bishop Smith, especially Karen and Gene Croarkin, Krista and Tim Baker, Diane Johnson and Dennis Goodman, Liz Srnka, and all the wonderful college students (Cody, Sam, Nathalia, Matthew, Kasey, Cassandra).

Shower for Dana:  During coffee hour on Sunday, May 20th, we will celebrate the upcoming birth of Baby Elam. Dana and Bill are anxiously awaiting the birth of their little girl in early June. You are invited to contribute toward the purchase of a car seat or provide a gift certificate for meal delivery for those early days as new parents. Questions, contact Krista at 660-676-9730.

Food 4 Kids:  Trinity’s time with Food 4 Kids in the Kirksville parks is just a month or so away.  Emails have been sent to former volunteers to ask about availability.  If you have never volunteered before and would like to participate, please contact Diane Johnson.

Food Depot:  Our Food Depot items for May – Boxed side dishes.

Lectionary Readings:

The deadline for next week’s WHAT is Noon, Thursday, May 17.  Please send items to BOTH Kevin Minch at kevin.minch@gmail.com and Natalie Alexander at faymie@gmail.com so that any relevant updates may also be included in the bulletin insert. Please be mindful of the deadline when possible.  Thanks!
