The Community Engagement Conference is an opportunity for everyone to come together in an inclusive group to learn how to support people with disabilities to be a part “of” their community rather than just “in” their community. This workshop is not only for individuals with disabilities and their family and friends but also for the community at large.

The keynote speaker specifically works with faith communities to make them more inclusive.  More information on the speaker and the sessions will be available soon.

Reclaiming Jesus:  Ecumenical Adult Formation—Reclaiming Jesus—begins on 6 September, at 6 p.m., at Take Root Cafe.  We will be joined by the Methodists and Presbyterians.

Diocesan Statement on Gun Storage:  This past spring, the Bishop and the Diocesan Council approved this statement on safe gun storage: “The Council of the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri implores gun owners to lock and secure weapons against use by children or those suffering from agonizing despair.  Please ensure that all guns in your home are locked and secured against use by children or those suffering agonizing despair.”
