Prayers of the People Julia DeLancey
Chalice Maria Evans

Bursars Natalie Alexander & Tim Baker

Adult Formation:  Talie Alexander will be leading us through four Godly Play sessions and we will learn how adults can enter into this way of understanding the narratives of Scripture.  Godly Play isn’t just for children anymore–many people are using it at nursing homes and hospitals with adults.  The series will last four weeks, ending on February 8, and should be an enjoyable and enlightening time!

Take Root Cafe Seeks Volunteers:  Have an hour or more to volunteer? Take Root Cafe is looking for volunteers to give 1-3 hours between 11am and 4pm.  Volunteer tasks include  bussing or washing dishes, cleaning, sweeping, dusting, and greeting guests.  To sign up in advance call (660) 956-4671 or email jessica@takerootkirksville.org, or just walk in.

2016 Giving Statements: 2016 Giving Statements are available! Please pick up your 2016 giving statement from the small sack on the table at the back of the church. Look over it carefully and please let the treasurer know if you see any problems. Thanks! Krista

Registry BookParish Register: Historically parish registers have been a norm in Episcopal churches. In recent times we have not maintained this information here at Trinity. As part of working with the old files and parish records, we are recognizing the value this provides. It also helps a great deal when we are asked how many people are on our register. Each year we provide this information to the Episcopal Church. We would like to be as correct as possible. To this end we are starting an effort to create a current parish register. Please take a few minutes to complete your entry in the folder in the undercroft. Thank you!

Bishop’s Visit Rescheduled: Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, the Bishop will not be able to make his visitation to Kirksville in April. It will likely be early in 2018 when another visit will be scheduled. On Saturday, May 13th there is a confirmation/reception service at the Cathedral. If you would like to be confirmed or received, please speak to Carrol, and she will make arrangements for you to be part of that service.

Message From Carrol About the Annual Meeting:  Sunday was a wonderful day. We had 45 people in worship and many stayed for our annual meeting. There seems to be a sense of hopefulness and joy even as we acknowledge the challenges ahead.  The gift of the chasuble and stole were such a surprise to me and so much appreciated. I look forward to wearing it on Sunday when we worship together. Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. It is such a joy to serve this community alongside you.

CoffeeCoffee Hour:  A volunteer is needed to do coffee hour on February 12. If you are interested, please sign up on the calendar in the undercroft.

Thanks From Dennis Goodman and Diane Johnson:  Dennis Goodman and Diane Johnson wish to thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes as Dennis continues to recover from his January 11 back surgery. Your cards, calls, texts (and muffins!) are greatly appreciated. Visits from Carrol, Maria, Karen and Krista were especially meaningful.

Food Depot:

Our Food Depot items for February:  Peanut Butter & Jelly; Cereal (regular size cereal boxes only, please)

Have an Old iPhone?:  Do you have an old iPhone 4 or 5 that is gathering dust, or shoved in a drawer, because you bought an iPhone 6 or 7?  If so, drop it off to Maria Evans.  She would like to convert it to a listening device for the hearing-impaired to make available at church.
